The Olympic Indoor Junior Tennis program helps kids of all ages love tennis. Our pros take their roles as coaches and role models seriously, but inject a big dose of fun. They know how children best learn to build and improve skills — with the right combination of high-energy teaching and support. Eby Day coordinates our Junior Tennis program.
The Bernard Master Junior Satellite Circuit was founded in the early 2000s by Olympic Indoor’s own Jim Criswell and sponsored by Dr. Bernard Master. They believed it was important to grow the game of tennis among junior players. Today, the tournament has grown to involve most of the central Ohio indoor clubs in a series of Friday and Saturday night tournaments for boys and girls in the 10 & under and 18 & under age divisions.

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games.

Junior Tennis Team follows two tracks to provide opportunities to players of all abilities: Local Junior Team Tennis or Championship Junior Team Tennis. The local track allows kids and team organizers to play on local level with flexible structures, while the championship track provides teams the opportunity to advance to a national championship – the crown jewel of the USTA Junior Team Tennis season. The state of Tennessee leads the way with six AAU Junior Olympic Games to its credit. "There's nothing junior about it" has become the theme of the AAU Junior Olympic Games while growing to over 16,000 participants in over 20 sports.
Tennis was first contested as a Summer Olympic sport in the 1896 Olympic Games, held in Athens. In the inaugural Olympic Games, only two tournaments were played: men's singles and men's doubles . Women were allowed to start to compete in singles and mixed doubles tennis events at the Olympic Games in 1900 .
Tennis members also enjoy access to our junior Olympic size pool and kiddie pool. The lounge, showers, and locker rooms are also available.
